Petts Wood Football Club was started in 1946 by Jack Standen. It was for many years a senior club, this changed in 1988 when the Junior Section was introduced, since then we have gone from strength to strength and in 2014/2015 we have 39 teams including 5 girls teams & 3 senior teams . In addition we run mini soccer schools for 2 1/2 – 4 year olds, and, 4-6 year olds at our ground in Barnet Wood Road. We are also Designated Managers for Norman Park Bromley where we have 8 senior pitches for hire which brings in much needed revenue for the Club. There are function room, classroom, hot and cold refreshments, changing rooms, toilets and on site parking at Barnet Wood Road.
We are a Charter Standard Community Club
On the 19th February 2013, it was made official that Petts Wood FC are the new Guinness World Record holders for the most players in a 5-a-side match, we achieved an amazing 676 players during our game on the 19th/20th May 2012, and raised a magnificent £23,000 for our “Feels Like Team Spirit” campaign for Harry King
We are a grass roots football club committed to the development of boys and girls of all ages and ability.
Very many thanks to everyone who contributed to our defibrillator fund and in particular Craig Smith, who led the London – Brighton bike ride group to start the fund. We are delighted to announce we now have a defibrillator and will shortly commence training on its use. Clearly we hope it will never be needed but should it be required we are now prepared. Thank you all !
We are now raising funds to install solar panels to offset our very high electricity costs. This is in keeping with our recycling philosophy and will enable us to focus the income raised in the T bar and events to spend on improving facilities and opportunities for players development.

Our Jack Petchey Leader Award for the season 2014-15 is Simon Reardon who so ably stepped in when our Chairman was unwell last Summer . Simon is also our long suffering Kit Manager who sorts out the endless stream of players and parents needing top ups and orders for new PWFC kit. Well done Simon
